General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMI) is responsible for the management of Turkish airports and the regulation and control of Turkish airspace.
With its facilities and equipment that provide the infrastructure for the Turkish civil aviation industry, DHMI has provided airport management and air traffic services under different names and statuses since 1933.
The DHMI`s purpose and the subject of activities are defined as follows:
Providing Air traffic control services, establishment of air navigation systems and facilities as well as maintaning the level of modern aviation technologies. In addition, DHMI manages airports and provides ground services at the airports within its responsibility.
DHMI is a member of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and also a member of relevant international organizations such as the EUROCONTROL and the Airports Council International (ACI).
